Morocco is one of our favourite countries to visit, and it’s the perfect place to go with young kids! 🇲🇦

It is so colourful and vibrant, and surprisingly diverse - in the space of three days we had swam in the ocean, skied in the mountains and slept in the desert… 🌊⛷️🐪

We brought our 2yr old to Austin Texas for 5 days and we loved it! Famous as the music capital of the world and the home of BBQ we found there were so many toddler friendly activities to explore and keep my daughter entertained.

Here’s what I would recommend:

🎙️ Watch live music in the music capital of the World

🦇 See the skyline of Austin by boat then watch thousands of bats fly out of congress bridge at nightfall

🏊‍♂️ Cool off at Barton Springs where you can try and see some of the elusive (and endangered) salamanders but if you can’t see those you will still have a great view of Downtown Austin from the water

🔬 Explore, play and learn at Thinkery with lots of experiments, play areas and climbing zones to feed their curiosity

🎃 We visited in fall so loved seeing over 7,500 hand carved pumpkins on display at Pioneer Farms for their annual Pumpkin Nights event - it’s a magical trail through differently themed areas which was fun for all the family

The best views of Atlanta, GA! ✨

⛰️Stone Mountain is only a 30-minute drive from downtown Atlanta. The hike to the top is easy, but the views are great!

There is also lots to do in the Stone Mountain park - there’s a large outdoor play area, a train that goes around the mountain and when we visited in fall there was even a pumpkin festival on 🎃

There are also lakes and woodland with plenty of trails for those looking to explore further (see if you can spot some turtles in the lake! 🐢)

The trail to the top was very toddler-friendly taking only 30-40 mins up with a gentle incline so my daughter could easily walk by herself. And if you don’t fancy the hike, there’s also a cable car that goes all the way to the top! 🚠

It’s a nice and relaxing day trip from the busy city, so make sure to add this to your Atlanta itinerary!

The best views of Atlanta, GA! ✨

⛰️Stone Mountain is only a 30-minute drive from downtown Atlanta. The hike to the top is easy, but the views are great!

I was on the hunt for Chaga which is known for its numerous health benefits (the Norwegian name translates to cancer mushroom). It is a very distinctive mushroom (or conk) and I have seen it in these woods before so I decided to head out again to look for it.

I came across a few birch trees but had no luck. There were plenty of mushrooms around but I'm no expert so decided instead to take pictures and do research at home.

With colder and wetter weather coming for autumn I'm always tempted to just stay indoors but the leaves have been so beautiful recently so I decided to go outdoors and try and do some foraging. There are lots of mushrooms around at the minute and I'm no expert so I enjoyed trying to find them and take pictures so I could research them afterwards.

Whilst I didn't leave with anything for dinner it was refreshing getting outside and enjoying nature!

We ordered a normal @uber and instead got a self driving @waymo !

It felt so futuristic and honestly I was quite nervous getting in, especially with my toddler, but we actually really enjoyed it (especially being able to sing our hearts out!)

⬇️5 destinations we loved visiting with our toddler

We’ve had some amazing trips with our daughter the past few years but these places we’d go back to in a heartbeat!

These destinations are all within a 3-3,5-hour flight from London so they can all be done in a week.

🇦🇱Albania - for a relatively small country, there is such a great amount to see and do! Beautiful coastline, stunning mountains, charming villages and loads of history. The perfect road trip country! (And when we went in October it was super quiet!)

🇲🇦Morocco - incredibly vibrant and diverse, in the space of three days we’d swam in the sea, gone skiing in the mountains and slept in the desert! And the people are some of the friendliest we’ve met when travelling

🇳🇴Norway - one of the most beautiful countries I’ve been to - if you’re a mountain lover like me this is a must!! And you can choose your adventure - take a fjord cruise for comfort or gear up and explore some of the incredible hikes!

🇵🇹Portugal - we’ve been twice this year already and I don’t feel like it’s nearly enough! Beaches, culture, food and wine… what’s not to love?!

🇷🇴Romania - one of our most surprising trips! We went for a wedding so Romania had never really been on my radar but this is still one of our favourite trips we’ve done - it’s like something out of a fairytale! Castles, wild bears, little Saxon villages in the mountains and everywhere is super cheap.

I have always loved autumn, which for me is about being outdoors and embracing the colder temperatures, but also snuggling up on the sofa with a hot drink by the fire ☕️

We’ve been wearing @regattaoutdoors this autumn which has kept us warm and snug both outdoors in the chilly air, and indoors for those cosy autumn evenings.

Today in this world of screens it’s harder to get outdoors and embrace the cosy feeling of dressing up warm but I try to do it with my daughter so she is raised with the same love of nature that my parents gave me 🧡

There’s a reason why all the American celebrities are escaping to the Cotswolds. We had a cosy day visiting friends who live in the area so they showed us their favourite places where we enjoyed river walks, coffee and pretty houses.

My daughter’s favourite was the model village wheee she towered over all the buildings and loved finding the miniature penguins hiding!

The trail was very toddler friendly taking only 1hr up with a gentle incline so my daughter could easily walk by herself. However there is also a direct cable car up and a train that goes around the mountain meaning there’s options for everyone.

At the top you’re treated to views of downtown Atlanta and are likely to see some Atlanta Hawks!

Jet lag with a toddler can be challenging. Do you sleep and recover or get out and try to make the most of the day?

We put on our cosy @regattaoutdoors fleeces and decided to drive to Tallulah Falls in Georgia to see if hiking would help us feel better!

I was so exhausted after only getting a few hours of sleep on the plane but once we got out into the woods it was so beautiful and being in nature and hiking around felt like the right thing even if it was hard.

My daughter doesn’t nap anymore so when she fell asleep in the carrier midway through the trail I was worried our plan had failed but I was delighted when she slept through the full night!

Pack my bags with me for our flight to the US! 🇺🇸

Long haul flights with a toddler can be challenging, so I always try to pack things to make the journey as smooth as possible! ✈️

We prefer to fly overnight as my daughter usually sleeps well on planes, so we always pack spare PJs, her favourite books (in both Swedish and English as I only read her Swedish books!) and toiletries so we can stick to our bedtime routine as much as possible. 😴

I also make sure I have enough toys and snacks (can you ever have enough..? 😅) to last the journey, and some Calpol because there’s nothing worse than needing it and not having it!

Jet lag with a toddler can be challenging. Do you sleep or recover or try and get out and make the most of the day? We decided to drive to Tallulah Falls in Georgia to see if hiking would help us feel better.

I was so exhausted after only getting a few hours of sleep on the plane but once we got out into the woods it was so beautiful and being in nature and hiking around felt like the right thing even if it was hard.

My daughter doesn’t nap anymore but she fell asleep in the carrier midway through the trail and surprisingly was able to sleep that night.
