Our story starts on a Wednesday morning in March with a pregnancy test.
It's 2022 and we have just come back from our long-awaited honeymoon in Kenya. It's our first big trip since Covid hit, and we're excited to start travelling again, but we have also started trying for a baby.
When we see the two lines on the pregnancy test, we're overjoyed. But it also comes with the realisation that those travel plans we had started forming in our head, will have to be put on hold, indefinitely. Because apart from the odd all-inclusive and European city break, travelling with young children isn't possible. Right?
ā
Fast forward to August 2025 and we now know that not only is it possible to travel with young children, it is actually way easier than we thought. We're not super fit, nor do we have years of experience of hiking, camping or other forms of adventure travel. We don't have unlimited funds to spend on travel, and we often make mistakes.
But we have a passion for exploring the world and a determination not lot let having kids change the way we travel.
ā
And that's why we started this blog, to show other parents, who, just like we used to, think travelling has to stop or massively change when you have kids, that travelling is still possible - and more importantly - still fun!āā
